– Today is the first day of our homeschool group for this year. We’re having a big picnic at a local park. It’s gonna be one. I can’t even open the door. I’ve got so much stuff in my arms but praise the Lord for older children. All of the kids are loaded in the van and they are just waiting for me. So yay! I can do a vlog intro. So we’re gonna run to our local food line and Jayden’s gonna go in because he’s 15. Yay! He’s gonna go in and get a bunch of probably chips and cookies to contribute to the potluck. But it’s gonna be a glorious day outside. We’re gonna take you along with us. Love this sunshine. Yay! It looks like Jayden’s getting
ready to drive the van. You know that is going to be a next step in life here very soon. Is going to be Driver’s Ed and Learners Permit. What honey? – I’m thirsty. – Liam’s thirsty. Okay we’ll take care of that. We’re getting there. So this is wonderful moms. Jayden, 15. Yay. He’s going into the grocery store for me. It’s a wonderful stage of life. Be sure to get lots of good junk, Jayden. – Okay. – May the force be with you. – Cool. (laughs) – And I’m getting ready in stages. You know how this goes. I’ve got my scarf on and now while we sit here and wait for Jayden to go in the grocery story, I’m gonna put my face on. Yee-haw. Oh boy. I’m almost full together and look at this sight. Yay! Looks like he got a big ol box of chips and some cookies. Did you find the chip boxes? – Yep. – Cool. What was are total? – 15 bucks. – Awesome, yay. You can keep the change. (laughs) For your services. What kind of cookies did you get? – I just got regular fudge. – Cool. – I got two of them. – Wow. How much was one of these things? Like 10 bucks? – It was 11 bucks. – 11 bucks. Okay that’s good to know. Friends of ours came the other week and they brought one of those big boxes with the little bags of chips and of course they were so popular that Jayden said this morning that’s what we should get for homeschool group. So the kids will like us there. Amelia! Are you having fun at homeschool group? Where’s your sticker? Is it on your back? Wow, Amelia they’ve got
a little kitchen there. You gonna make? You can put some dirt up there. And they’ve got a little stove over there. You could come here and put some dirt on here and cook. Look at that. That is fun. Amelia, tell me all the things. What did you eat at homeschool group? Did you have a hotdog? A hotdog, yes. Could turn the knobs? Maybe if you walk over to the side. Walk over to the side and turn the knobs. Good girl. Wow! You’re a great climber. Good job. I see you. – I’m the king of the world. – You are. You’re really high up there. So of course Amelia’s decided to come out in the blaring sun. So I can not join the homeschool mom chat in the shade. Miss Amelia, where did you go to? Look at you. They’ve really updated
this playground a lot. Look at you. Where you gonna go now? Why don’t you come down this slide here? Right here. Come down. Come down. So many colors. That was fun. Whoa! Oh so I can just sit and enjoy the ride. Whoa! Wee! What have you been working on, Mr. Liam? – Game. – Game? Are you climbing up this time? We had a lot of bagels from a previous shopping
trip and I thought we’ll just do some easy
pizza bagels tonight. So I’m gonna show you these rocket science ingredients. We have several bags of bagels. These are onion flavored, you can use any flavor you like. We have some pizza sauce and some fiesta blend cheese. Now you can make pizza bagels just like you do any other pizza. You can do mushrooms, you can do pepperonis, you can do olives, this kids can decorate them. You can get really
complicated or super simple. Naomi, we’re gonna be super simple, aren’t we? Naomi, all we’re gonna do is go ahead and we’re gonna
start opening these up. And layer our pans with them, okay? Naomi, got all our bagels spread out. With this pizza sauce, let me show you on the first one. We don’t wanna poor pizza
sauce down the hole. Okay. So you just take your spoon. Because we would lose some. Sometimes I have made pizza boats or pizza bagels using just regular, old spaghetti sauce. And my husband said that there is a difference between pizza sauce and spaghetti sauce. So to make him happy, I get these little jars of pizza sauce. It’s only like 99 cents and one of these small jars can do an entire dinner for our family. So it’s an inexpensive meal. So there you go Miss Naomi. And I can around behind you and do the cheese on top. Do our cheese sprinkles. Layer some cheese on there. You can do a little bit heavier than that. Okay sweetie. – And the sauce probably sticks the cheese on like glue. – It does. Do you think they taste
like real pizza, sweetie? – No, I’m not sure. – Pretty close. – I have to eat both of them at the same time to see. – Oh to do an official taste test. I came downstairs last night to get a drink of water and I realized that our kitchen was decorated with leaves. – It’s almost full. – Exactly. A very crafty girl here. Got really crafty, Naomi? You see we’ve got leaf decorations on the door, we have some leaves over there, and the pumpkin. Gabriel did the pumpkin and Naomi has a leaf hanging here and here and then she has some
leaves about our doorway. You’re a really crafty girl, aren’t you? We were dreaming that in our new, bigger house. If the Lord, as he works all of that out, we’ll be sharing that journey with you. We could have our own crafting table. Ha, Naomi? And Naomi could organize the paper and the glue. It could just all be out and accessible and be a table just for crafting. Wouldn’t that be a dream? I’m excited about that thought. Good gob Miss Naomi. – Want a little bit more on this one? – Yeah. Do some more. We have more sauce. So if we would run out, it’s totally okay. I just don’t want to spoon sauce down the hole. (laughs) What I’ve done is I have the oven preheating to 400 and we’re just gonna stick
these trays of bagels in for about 20 minutes. Naomi is taking a cheese turn. They’re gonna be so yummy. We have cheesed them all. That took what? All of three minutes or so. For the last four bagels, I did end up using a few spoonfuls from a jar of pizza sauce I forgot that I had in the refrigerator. Naomi, do you want to come put those in the oven honey? – Okay. – Yep. Thank you. Okay. I’m gonna put this one on the bottom rack. Just don’t have room on the top. And so there they go. They’re in there. 400 and I’m going to set the timer here for 20 minutes. Oops not 30 or we’ll have burnt pizza bagels. Yay. Timer start. I’m still learning the new oven but we should be good. 20 minutes. Dinner will be ready. So here I am serving pizza bagels and I almost forgot to show you guys how they turned out. So here’s how. Excuse my shadows. How they turned out. They are amazing. I already started serving them and we are gonna sit out on the porch because it’s nice and cool outside this evening. And we are gonna just enjoy the moon and our pizza bagels. Miss Naomi, you take your pizza bagel. Woop, woop, woop. Pick that one up for me. Mommy’s a clumsy server tonight. Here you go Gaby. There you go. Liam, yee-haw. Say good night friends. – Good night friends. – Good night friends. – Good night friends. – Tomorrow we have Naomi’s trampoline jumping birthday extravaganza. So look for a video of that soon. Buh bye.
