Hi. I’m Lynn MacInnes, and I’m a
courier here at Don Mills at YFH. I’ve been here 21 years, and
I’ve loved every day of it. I think just the whole job in general.
The people that I work with are awesome. My customers are great. The area
I do, I love it, all my customers. I get a lot of respect from them. I might have 50
or 60 of them. Every single one of them are great. Since I opened 15 years ago, Lynn
has been my only FedEx person. She’s been part of our lives, not just not corporately,
but personally in the sense of the delivering. She’s been a friendly face that’s been more
than just a FedEx delivery or pickup person. When I have Lynn in my corner as my FedEx
contact, I know that nothing’s going to go wrong. I trust her whenever I see her coming in,
that I know if I’m getting a delivery, or I’m having something
sent out, it’ll get done. The quality that stands out with Lynn
is definitely her customer service. She always comes in with a smile on her
face. She makes it more than just work. It’s more of a family. When I heard that Lynn won the Courier
of the Year Program, it wasn’t a surprise. It wasn’t a matter of if she was going
to win, it was when she was going to win. I’m so proud that she is actually
announced the winner this year. It makes me feel very proud
to be honored with this award. I think it’s awesome, and I think every courier should
aspire to apply and put in for these things every year. It’s a great feeling when you win, and
it’s still a great feeling if you don’t. You still get to see the
comments from customers. Some of them, you’re blown away.
I had no idea they felt like that. It’s a great feeling, because you’re like,
I guess I’m really making a difference in somebody’s day, and
I’m doing a great job. When I retire here, I can be proud
of the job I did here when I leave.
